You have this beautiful DSLR camera that you KNOW is capable of taking gorgeous photos. But for some reason, every photo you take is worse than the last!
You’re frustrated that you invested money in a piece of equipment that just isn’t working for you.
But hold up – it CAN work for you. In your hands, that camera is capable of taking stunning, professional-looking photos for your business. You just need to learn how to use it!
Enter: Your DSLR Made Simple.
Learn how to rock that DSLR through simple language and easy-to-understand steps – even when it comes to shooting on manual!
DSLR cameras come with a learning curve.
Sure, you could read the manual, but those things are basically written for rocket scientists (or you know, professional photographers).
Q. What if you could just have someone to explain, in simple terms, how to use this thing? Terms you understand. Terms that don’t make your mind go numb.
A. You’d learn how to use it quicker, more effectively, and more confidently, so that you can start taking professional-looking, beautiful photos for your business and stop leaving money on the table.
Q. What if someone could just teach you about the settings and features you NEED to know?
I mean, there are a lot of buttons. Do you really need to know what every single one does?!
A. No. No, you don’t.
But I can tell you exactly which ones you do need to know about. And how to use them. And I even make it simple. For real.
Learning how to use a DSLR camera has always felt like rocket science –

How long will I have access to the course?
You will have lifetime access to Your DSLR Made Simple. There are no time constraints to complete the course and you can revisit it over and over. You will also have access to any future course updates.
How is this course delivered?
The lectures are delivered via video in your secure course login library. You’ll also have access to downloadable PDFs, including a glossary of terms and quick reference guide for shooting on manual.
What if I have an older DSLR camera? Is it still good, or do I need to upgrade?
Most older DSLRs will be just fine! DSLR cameras don’t age the same way other kinds of technology do, because their central components are largely mechincal as opposed to technical. Newer DSLRs will have some upgraded features, but there’s no reason you can’t dust off that older DSLR and get started.
Does this course cover anything else, like lighting, styling, or editing?
Outside of the context of using your DSLR camera, no. It will describe how to use your camera settings to capture properly exposed photos under different lighting conditions, how to set the file format for optimal editing, etc, but does not go into specifics of lighting, styling, or editing.
Do I need a certain brand of DSLR for this course to make sense?
Nope, this course applies to any brand of DSLR camera. Each brand may have the settings and features in a slightly different place, but if you have any confusion about where to find something on your particular model, you can always leave a comment and I’ll give you a hand.
Hey, I’m Amy
I’m a professional product photographer who knows her stuff – but what’s even more important is that I know how to teach efficient, effective photography practices in the most simplified, step-by-step way. No muss, no fuss, and no over-your-head technical jargon. Just straight-forward information that you need to know.
All of my courses and tools are developed with non-photographers in mind, so they’re simple and to the point. No need to show off how much I know with big words or fancy setups – my goal is to have my students taking gorgeous photos for their businesses as quickly and easily as possible.
